This 10 ft x 60 in ash dining table was crafted from a remarkable piece of Tennessee history — a 68‑inch diameter ash tree from Middle Tennessee State University, estimated to be nearly 200 years old. The slab carried extraordinary scale and character, shaped by generations of growth before ever entering the shop.
We preserved the natural movement of the wood, highlighting the grain and warm tone that make ash such a steady, timeless species. The result is a dining table that feels both substantial and grounded, built from a tree that has stood through centuries and now continues its story in a new home.
This project reflects what we value most: meaningful material, local roots, and craftsmanship that honors the history already written in the wood.
