A lot of live edge furniture is built from imported slabs. Ours is not. We source from Middle Tennessee - urban salvage, regional mills, and trees that clients bring to us from their own property. That matters for two reasons: the material is better because it is properly dried and handled locally, and the piece carries a connection to the place it came from.
Some of the most meaningful projects we have built started with a client calling about a tree in their backyard - a walnut that came down in a storm, a family oak that had to be removed. We mill it, dry it, and build it into something they will keep for the rest of their lives.
